Not everything has to be done as a traditional matching grant, with District match and TRF match, and living within those requirements.

For instance, matching grants can’t be used to provide new buildings. If a Rotary club wants to build another school building, it can – using its own funds, or a partner like a church, NGO (non-governmental organization) or even government agency.

Or if a Club wants to deliver a service to a community – dental, medical, engineering or legal for example – it can do that directly, providing expertise, funding or in-kind donations.

Some other examples include delivering ambulances and medical equipment
